Art Smirnov is a passionate professional with over a decade of experience in the life sciences industry, specialising in Project Delivery, Consulting, and Staffing & Recruitment. 

As the Co-Founder of Symptóme, Art is on a mission to simplify the complexities of pharmaceutical, biotech, and CDMO operations, delivering solutions that are as efficient as they are enjoyable.

With a hands-on approach, Art manages CQV Engineering projects, oversees Technology Transfer initiatives, and provides expert guidance in Quality Remediation, Audits, and Inspections.

Whether it’s ensuring seamless equipment installation and validation, optimising production processes, or preparing clients for regulatory audits, Art’s goal is to make the process swift, straightforward, and stress-free.

Art’s expertise spans recruiting top-tier talent for Engineering, Technical Operations and Quality Assurance roles, as well as delivering tailored engineering consulting and professional services.

His work helps companies achieve operational excellence and meet global standards.

Outside of work, Art is a proud father of two energetic boys and an avid runner who thrives on challenges both on and off the track. His love for sports has taught him the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities he brings to every project.

Whether he’s chasing his kids around the house, hitting the pavement for a long run, or cheering on his favorite teams, Art’s energy and determination shine through in everything he does.

Art holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of East London and is fluent in Russian, English, and Latvian
